I spend my time exploring the lakes, forests, wetlands, prairies, and open spaces of the Midwest, looking for birds and the moments that make them special. These photographs are a collection of the wildlife and wild places I’ve discovered along the way.

Tiny, energetic, and easy to overlook. The Golden-crowned Kinglet may be small, but that bright golden crown makes it stand out when you get a chance to see it up close.

Still growing into that unmistakable look. A juvenile Bald Eagle may not have the white head and tail yet, but there’s something special about seeing one at this stage of life.

Profile
I’m a bird photographer based in southeastern Wisconsin. I spend most of my time exploring the lakes, woods, wetlands, prairies, and open spaces around Wisconsin and the Midwest with a camera in hand.
What started as an interest in birds has grown into a passion for finding and photographing them. I enjoy the challenge of locating a bird, watching its behavior, and waiting for that moment when everything comes together—good light, a clean background, and a great expression or pose.
For me, bird photography is really about getting outside, exploring new places, and never knowing what I might find. Most of my work is around southeastern Wisconsin and the Midwest, but I’m always looking for the next place to explore and the next bird to photograph.
